Background

The subject Philosophy was started in the college in 1988  two years later to  the establishment of the college. Then it was started as Logic in Higher Secondary level. Afterwards it was started in degree level in 1990 as a pass course. With due permission of Dibrugarh University  major course in Philosophy was started in1996.

VISION/MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

VISION: The vision of the department is to be a reputed and the most preferred department of the institution. It will be  our earnest effort to make the department to be such that a student will be proud to be a member of it.

MISSION: The mission of the department of philosophy of Kamarbandha college will be to create a generation of graduate in philosophy with the best theoretical knowledge in the subject. They will be our future generation having great moral and spiritual as well as human  values.

FACILITIES

The department has sufficient facilities as follows:

1. The department has well accommodated class rooms.
2. The college has a common digital class room with LCD projector and the department uses the same whenever needed.
3. The department has a well managed small library having 200 books.
4. The department offers remedial classes for slow learners and revision classes just before the exams for the aids of the students.
5. Well experienced and dutiful faculty members maintains a closed co-ordination with the students.
6. monitoring of the academic progress.
7. The department has a Hand written magazine and a wall magazine to help the students  for the improvement of their literary skill and the caliber of writing.
