Background

Department of Computer Science

The Subject Computer Skill was started in the college in 2012 in Degree level permitted by Dibrugarh University as a Skill Based Subject. In 2018 college introduce Web Designing as a Skill enhancement course in CBCS mode. In 2022 Dibrugarh University have permitted to introduce Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA). The College have been running 6 month diploma course in computer application(DCA) under Dibrugarh university.

To empower the graduates to be technologically adept, innovative, self-motivated and responsible citizens, possessing human values and contribute significantly towards being a center of excellence in providing globally standard education, through a conducive Teaching and Research environment, that responds swiftly to the challenges of the ever changing world.

1. Providing a strong theoretical and practical background across the computer science discipline with an emphasis on software development.
2. Imparting the skills necessary to continue education to grow professional.
3. Empowering the youth in rural communities with computer education.
4. Inculcating professional behavior, strong ethical values, innovative research capabilities and leadership abilities.

2. Web Designing (SEC) in B.A (CBCS) Course.
3. Diploma In Computer Application(DCA)(6 month Course)
4. PGDCA(Regular), approved by Dibrugarh University.

 Facilities

The department has sufficient facilities as follows:

1. The department has well accommodated Classroom.
2. Computer lab is equipped with 40 LAN connected computers with high speed Internet connectivity. The software used in this lab is C++, Java, Visual studio, SQL Server and MS Project.
3. The college has a common digital class room with LCD projector and the department uses the same whenever needed.
4. The department has a well managed small library.
