Background

The Subject Computer Skill was started in the college in 2012 in Degree level permitted by Dibrugarh University as a Skill Based Subject. In 2018 college introduce Web Designing as a Skill enhancement course in CBCS mode. In 2019 Dibrugarh University have permitted to introduce Diploma in Computer Application (DCA). PGDCA regular course was introduced in 2022 approved by Dibrugarh University. From 2023 , Computer Science was introduced as Multi Disciplinary subject as Natural science in degree course in NEP mode.

To empower the graduates to be technologically adept, innovative, self-motivated and responsible citizens, possessing human values and contribute significantly towards being a center of excellence in providing globally standard education, through a conducive Teaching and Research environment, that responds swiftly to the challenges of the ever changing world.

Facilities

The department has sufficient facilities as follows:

1. The department has well accommodated Classroom.
2. Computer lab is equipped with 40 LAN connected computers with high speed Internet connectivity. The software used in this lab is C++, Java, Visual studio, SQL Server and MS Project.
3. The college has a common digital class room with LCD projector and the department uses the same whenever needed.
4. The department has a well managed small library.
